I’ve always felt like a nomad since I was a child that eventually I learned how to enjoy the process.
What most people know about me is that I’m from Los Angeles who had fairly successful career working at two nonprofits, a podcast host and now someone who is living the digital nomad lifestyle in Latin America.
But what they don’t know about me is… how insecure I was as a child, how much of a people pleasure I was and how lonely I felt as a kid.
My parents were separated as long I can remember so I grew up in two different households, one with my mother and the other with my father. I had an older sister and step brother at home but we were in different grades and different schools.
Every time one of my parents moved, I had to change schools (4 different elementary schools) and this led to feel like such an outsider. I lived with the fear of being bullied, with the insecurity of whether or not I would be accepted by new classmates, and had many regrets for doing crazy, funny but bad things to gain others’ approval.
That’s why, I’m so committed to helping people adapt to new environments from the inside out.
Whether it’s a new job or career, a move to a new city or country or learning how to say goodbye as you move on from relationships is something I think we all go through at some point.
I didn’t become a digital nomad because I wanted to live a stable or a comfortable life, I became a digital nomad because the pain of change became my superpower.
“So many of us are afraid of change that we forget the only guarantee in life is change.”
So, how do we find peace of mind and heart within ourselves no matter what is happening in our external world? How can we learn to adapt from the inside out?
Follow me and maybe we can find out together.
All love,
Josh
